AIM-HI Network Travel Bursary
The AIM-HI Network Travel Bursary will provide funding to support travel for First Nations, Métis and Inuit scholars who are either:
Presenting health-related research as the first author at conferences or professional meetings Attending the National Gathering of Graduate Students (NGGS)Travel Bursary: At a Glance
Value
The bursary amount varies by location of conference or professional meeting as follows:
- Provincial meeting (within Alberta): $500
- National meeting (within Canada): $750
- International meeting (outside of Canada): $1,000
The total amount available for this funding opportunity is $5,000 per fiscal year (April 1-March 31).
Eligibility
Self-identified First Nations, Métis, and Inuit students enrolled full-time in an undergraduate, graduate or post-doctoral degree program at a post-secondary academic institution in Alberta
Eligible Use of Funds
Travel (mileage, parking, airfare, bus or train fare), per diem for meals and incidentals, accommodations, baggage fees.
Renewable
Only one award per student per fiscal year will be awarded
Priority may be given to first time applicants

Documentation
Provide documentation from conference/meeting confirming acceptance of the abstract or invitation to present, or Documentation confirming registration for the National Gathering of Graduate Students.
Review
Applications are accepted year-round and reviewed on a monthly basis by a panel of the AIM-HI Network Principal Investigators for eligibility.
