The ACCOLEDS 2006 Official Dinner will take place at the Brioche Restaurant in Vancouver' s Historic Gastown (401 West Cordova Street) located a short half- block from the SFU Harbour Center Campus. Google map At this time of year most Downtown Vancouver restaurants get booked early for the christmas parties and events, so we have booked the entire restaurant for the ACCOLEDS group. It's is a small funky cosy place. The resturant will be closed to the public and so we'll have the place to ourselves. The front half of the restaurant seats 30-35 people and the back can seat another 20, so we should fit comfortably. Attendance for our past dinners ranged in the 30-40 persons. We will be having a set menu. There will be antipastos, starters, pasta dishes, salads, platters of various foods and will be served family style. ie no individual plates. And we will finish with deserts, and coffee or tea. (check out their menu on their website. The cost will be a flat rate of $35-$40 per person. Wine and other beverages will be billed separately. Hopefully this will be amenable to all. 3-4 days prior to the conference we have to close the registration for the dinner and confirm the final tally with the restaurant so that they can plan the menu etc.
