4. SMT et al has decided that we are going with the GENERAL BROWSE idea
for failed keyword searches. Therefore, the following needs to be
configured in all 7 formats in order to send the following tags
to the new General Browse Index...
First create the General Browse index in
systemconfig/cataloguing/browse index
* Name : GENERAL
* Description : general for failed gen.keywd search
* Rotate : NO
* Z3950 Use Attribute : Any (1016)
All 7 formats reconfigure tags: 100, 600, 800 with a new browse index:

6. ADD a new browse index to SERIAL format tag 740 as
follows:

7. Reconfigure keyword indexes to use indicator values for skip in filing as follows (done on isis 98-01-26):

8. Reindexing decisions from CWG-Feb. 19, 1998: (to do on osiris/isis):
090-general keyword index all 7 formats
300-general keyword index for serial format too
(all but marc now indexed)
599-deindex for all 7 formats
Decided to keep rest of oddities:
400,410,411 browse series index only (no keyword indexing)
705,715 in SAU keyword index and author browse index.
222 for serial format sent to Journal browse index only (no keyword)
490 series browse only no keyword indexing
690,691 browse subject only no keyword indexing
840 series browse and no keyword indexing.
9. Decided to exclude subfields 4 adn e for all indexes of the 100,
600, 700 and 800 tags. Most of these tags abide by this rule except
the following which were reconfigured:
100--BROWSE (author/general) required the 4 added to the
exclude list
600--BROWSE (subject/general) both required 4 and e added
to the exclude list
800--BROWSE (series/general) both required 4 and e added
to the exclude list
