HOCKEY CANADA CONCUSSION AWARENESS FOR KIDS
The Hockey Canada Concussion Awareness app for kids is a great tool for parents to teach young players how to prevent concussions through respect and playing by the rules. The app explains important concussion information in an easy-to-follow manner for young players.
CONCUSSION QUICK CHECK
The Concussion Quick Check App (developed by the American Academy of Neurology) can help coaches, athletic trainers, doctors, parents and athletes quickly evaluate if someone may have a concussion, head, or brain injury and needs to see a licensed health care provider, such as a neurologist, who is specialized in concussion.
Developed by CDC Injury Center, this app provides an interactive concussion safety game, aimed at 6-8 year olds. It will teach children the different ways your brain can get injured, the importance of immediately notifying parents and/or coaches, and the importance of rest following a concussion.
