Graduate students currently receiving other scholarship funding should contact the Faculty of Graduate Studies via gsaward@ucalgary.ca  to discuss whether participating in the Summer Incubator Program will impact current scholarships.

Graduate students must speak with their research supervisors to determine if the program’s mandatory time requirement of 35 hours per week will impact their research activities.

Applications are reviewed by a committee that involves staff and faculty from the Hunter Hub for Entrepreneurial Thinking, the Faculty of Graduate Studies and Platform Calgary.

Shortlisted students will be asked to participate in an interview conducted by a member(s) of the reviewing committee.

Applications are assessed based on the validity of the completed lean business model canvas presented, with consideration for previous activity in support of the current venture (research, customer validation, mentorship programs, seminars, conferences, pitch competitions, academic courses, etc.).
