Areas of Research
- M/NEMS with IR spectroscopy
We are currently integrating current micro/nanoelectromechanical systems (M/NEMS) with infrared (IR) spectroscopy to create highly sensitive and selective sensors and materials characterization platforms. - Nano-metrology with SPM
We are developing novel nano-metrologies based on scanning probe microscopy (SPM) that enables the multi-physical and chemical material property characterization. - Porous Nanomaterials for Sensing
We are synthesizing various metal organic frameworks (MOFs) for gas sensing applications. - Nanomaterials for enhanced oil recovery and environmental remediation
We are investigating electromagnetic/Induction heating with novel sensitizers for enhanced oil recovery and environmental remediation. - Micro/nanoscale fluid-structure interaction
We are working on theoretical, numerical, and experimental study of micro/nanoscale fluid-structure interaction phenomena for biological and chemical sensing applications.
