Second Language Teaching My research focuses on educational responses to cultural and linguistic diversity in a variety of contexts. I am interested in second language teaching in K-12 second language, and bilingual program contexts, as well as post-secondary contexts.
Linguistic Identity In understanding the bilingual student or second language learner, I find it is important to investigate linguistic identity and the means in through which this linguistic identity is expressed. This has led to research into the use of posts on Facebook to position oneself as a bilingual or classroom research into the use of the tool, the Language Portrait Silhouette, to gain an understanding of young children's developing identity.
