Functional MRI My research program focuses on brain imaging of stroke, concussion and peripheral inflammatory disease, using functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI). Specifically, my studies aim to understand how functional connections in the brain change in the presence of these conditions, as means to better understand these disorders as well as to assess treatment and predict patient outcomes. I am also head of the Neuroimaging Research Unit of the Hotchkiss Brain Institute, which oversees all neuroimaging research at the University of Calgary.
