Atmospheric Science Processes and sources affecting trace gas and aerosol concentrations in the atmosphere are primary areas of interest. C, N, and S compounds and their isotope characteristics are studied to identify the sources, transformations and fate of these compounds in the atmosphere. Of particular interest are interactions with microorganisms at soil/air and water/air interfaces.
The majority of this research involves a combination of laboratory investigations, field work, as well as data anaylsis and system modeling.
