Selling the Concept
If you have the opportunity, convince key community members in advance that it is possible - their support will direct neighbourhood opinion.

Begin with a brief overview of the project.  Ensure that you've mapped where you've come from (background) and where you want to go (vision).  You must grab the attention of the target audience as quickly as possible.

Get into more detail.  Explain the reasoning behind the concept - identify the what, why and how of the project.  Remember to keep it to an appropriate level for your audience, and keep jargon to a minimum.

Use a gimmick - persuade people of the necessity to implement the concept.  Summarize the critical components to re-iterate the project.

Package it well - professional-looking presentations are a must.
