Thank you to all the Arch-E readers who took the time to provide
feedback in the 2007 Reader Survey last month. We were blown
away by the nearly 2,000 responses and you can expect to see some of
your suggestions incorporated in the coming months. John Bullock, BComm’92,
was the winner of our survey grand prize: a one night weekend stay
in a luxury suite at Calgary’s Hotel Arts and a $100 gift certificate
at the Raw Bar, kindly sponsored by Canada Life. Congratulations,
John, and thanks to everyone for your valuable input!

Hockey Sweater scores for literacy
It’s as much a part of growing up in Canada as playing shinny on the local
pond: reading Quebec author Roch Carrier’s classic story The Hockey Sweater
or watching the NFB’s animated version is a rite of passage for Canadian
kids as they learn to read and write. Now, the timeless story of a young Montreal
Canadiens fan in rural Quebec in the 1940s is entering the computer age as an
interactive CD-ROM designed by U of C educational experts to make learning English
and French more fun.

U of C’s Master of Teaching Program Siksika Option, a joint between the
