Spring Summer 2021 Covid FAQ's
as of May 19, 2021
Non-medical masks be mandatory on campus, including residence buildings.
For the safety of our campus community, UCalgary students, faculty, staff, as well as visitors to campus, will be required to wear non-medical masks in indoor public spaces at all Calgary campuses.
Residents will be required to wear non-medical masks when they step out of their unit/apartment—all common areas, elevators, lobbies, hallways and laundry rooms etc.
Quarantine units available if traveling from an international location for those living in residence:
- Incoming international students who have an active residence booking and are arriving from outside of Canada are able to quarantine in Residence, click for more info.
Travellers arriving to Canada by air, as of February 22, 2021, will be required to take a COVID-19 molecular test when they arrive in Canada before exiting the airport, and another toward the end of their 14-day quarantine period. Air travellers will also be required to reserve, before their departure to Canada, a 3-night stay in a government-authorized hotel. These new measures are in addition to existing mandatory pre-boarding and health requirements for air travellers. Once the 3-night day quarantine and with a negative test result is complete, the student may then continue to UCalgary Residence, where they can complete their 14 day quarantine, if booked with us.
