Virtual Career Coaching

We know UCalgary alumni value the opportunity to access career resources. This is why we’re working to expand and improve the UCalgary Alumni Career Program, of which Virtual Career Coaching is just one component.

Help shape the UCalgary Alumni Career Program by telling us what types of career services and resources you would like to receive.

Our brief career survey should only take five to 10 minutes of your time, and your thoughts and opinions will help us better support your career journey going forward. Take the survey.

Gain the confidence, skills and inspiration you need to achieve your career goals.

Virtual Career Coaching is your opportunity to connect one-on-one with a career coach for a 30-minute online session tailored to your unique needs.

Topics you might be interested in exploring with UCalgary Alumni’s resident career coach could include:

  • developing strategies that support your job search
  • finding opportunities based on your career goals
  • navigating career transitions and changes
  • networking effectively
  • finding reliable and up-to-date resources
  • clarifying career goals
  • identifying opportunities for professional development and skill-enhancement
  • returning to the workplace after parental leave
  • preparing for retirement

The career coach can also provide expert guidance on creating tools — resume, cover letter, LinkedIn profile — that will help you achieve your career goals.

Schedule your coaching session now! Coaching sessions open up six weeks in advance.

How Virtual Career Coaching works

Virtual Career Coaching one-on-one sessions will be held on the first and third Tuesday of each month, starting on Jan. 17, 2017.

Group sessions will be held every second month to explore specific topics in depth, such as preparing for job interviews, leveraging LinkedIn and networking.
