About our guest

A computer scientist by degree, Reg Tiangha, BSc’04, uses volunteering as a way to supplement the skills and experience he had gained during his time as a student. In his adventures post-degree, he’s balloon-bombed downtown Calgary, marched in the 2012 Calgary Stampede Parade as a centennial banner carrier, and helped others execute their awesome ideas through micro-philanthropy. A co-organizer of Maker Faire Calgary and an UCalgary Alumni volunteer, Tiangha advocates volunteerism as a way to open doors, gain new experiences and act as a lens with which to try to find one’s own way in life.
