The AI Research School

The AI Research School (AIRS) is a online program hosted at the University of Calgary that aims to encourage equity deserving groups in computing research to pursue graduate studies and research careers in AI.

Mission: To train those interested in using AI for addressing challenges in various domains through open, online, and free instruction and mentorship.

Vision: To prepare the next generation of researchers and practitioners who lead AI research and its applications.

Through this program, students have the opportunity to:

  1. Learn about AI and different branches of AI research
  2. Have the opportunity to participate in an AI research project
  3. Interact with current highly successful graduate students and postdocs from underrepresented groups who utilize AI for their research
  4. Gain mentorship from academia and industry researchers
  5. Plan for or develop a strong application for graduate school

Canadian AI and Robots & Vision Conference 2025

Join us for the Canadian AI and Robots & Vision Conference 2025, a combination of the 38th Canadian Conference on Artificial Intelligence (Canadian AI) and the 22th Conference  on Robots and Vision (CRV), taking place in person at the University of Calgary in May 2025.
