Education
- Chemical Engineering Student (University of Calgary, Canada) 2015
Her previous experience in working with Research and Development is extensive. First, for four years, she worked as a Chemical Technician Assistant in a laboratory for a large packing company in Brazil, Empax, ensuring quality control. She experienced a considerable amount of work in different levels, from president to productions workers, which offered different and special skills. Second, in her faculty in Brazil she conducted a research on alternative fuels, which provided me a Sustainable Award from Odebrecht Company on March, 2014. As a result, both of these experiences make her comfortable and confident in laboratory work, especially in handling equipment and laboratory devices.
Currently, she is a Science Without Borders student in Canada, which means that she has a scholarship from the government of Brazil that allows her to take 1 year and 4 months of her Bachelor in Chemical Engineering degree in another country. This scholarship is given for exceptional students who have excellent grades and wants to work with technology. As a result, this opportunity is giving to her the chance to improve English as a second language, experience a new culture and take risks and learn from her choices.
As a Chemical Engineering student, she hopes to work in her area of expertise, especially with Oil and Gas, and it is one of the reasons why she chose Calgary as her exchange city. She is passionate about working with fuels and sources of energy, learning new things, and creating new technology.
