THERMOGRAVIMETRIC ANALYZER (TGA)

tga

Perkin Elmer TGA - STA 6000
Thermogravimetric analysis (TGA) is a widely employed technique for measuring the change in weight of a sample as a function of temperature or time in a controlled atmosphere. TGA is reliable equipment for the kinetic studies. The DSC signal measures endothermic and exothermic transitions (e.g. polymorphism, melting, crystallization, etc.) of biomass. - This instrument has simultaneous analysis of TG with DTA mode (dT) and DSC (mW) mode for fast enhanced result interpretation - Operating temperature is 15 to 1000oC, and heating rate is 0.1 to 100oC/min

tga7

Perkin Elmer TGA7
Thermogravimetric analysis involves heating a sample in an inert or oxidising atmosphere and measuring the weight. The weight change over specific temperature ranges provides indications of the composition of the sample and thermal stability. Applications include:

    1. Asesssment of moisture and volatiles
    2. Asesssment of composition
    3. Thermal stability
    4. Oxidative stability
    5. Decomposition kinetics

tga500

High Pressure TGA - Thermax 500
The TherMax 500 system specializes in demanding applications where high temperatures, pressures, and aggressive atmospheres are required. Pressure can be used to enhance or speed up reactions.

The TherMax 500 Pressure TGA can measure samples in a controlled environment. Pressures up to 100 bar and temperatures up to 1000 °C are not a problem, even in an aggressive atmosphere. The system incorporates a pressure control system consisting of mass flow controllers for three gases, back pressure regulator, pressure transducer, flow switches and solenoid valves. The 38mm diameter reactor tube and the high mass balance guarantee the capability of not only high weight measurements, but high volume as well.

    1. 100 grams sample capacity
    2. 35 mL sample volume, and under various reaction environments, including corrosive and flammable gases.
    3. From 10-4 torr to 100 bar.

BET SURFACE AREA

bet

Micromeritics ASAP 2020
The ASAP 2020 Accelerated Surface Area and Porosimetry Analyzer uses gas sorption techniques for research and quality control applications. Also available is the Chemical Adsorption (Chemisorption) option, which uses the static volumetric technique to determine the percent metal dispersion, active metal surface area, size of active particles, and surface acidity of catalyst materials.

ELEMENTAL ANALYZER

chns

Perkin Elmer 2400 Series II CHNS/O
Elemental Analyzer is a powerful instrument for the rapid determination of Carbon, hydrogen, nitrogen, oxygen, sulfur or oxygen content in organic and other type of materials. This single instrument is able to analyze three different modes of operation such as CHN, CHNS and Oxygen.

The 2400 Series II CHNS/O Elemental Analyzer is capable of operating in three modes: CHN, CHNS and Oxygen, is fully automated, and includes a 60 position autosampler. In addition to the instument's "tried and true" design features, the 2400 Series II CHNS/O System includes our intuitive, easy-to-use, EA Data Manager Software. The EA Data Manager software adds powerful capabilities that assist in streamlining your data collection and analyses.

GAS CHROMATOGRAPHY

gcfid

Perkin Elmer Clarus 400
Gas chromatography - specifically gas-liquid chromatography - involves a sample being vapourised and injected onto the head of the chromatographic column. The sample is transported through the column by the flow of inert, gaseous mobile phase. The column itself contains a liquid stationary phase which is adsorbed onto the surface of an inert solid. GC is used in separating and analyzing compounds that can be vaporized without decomposition.

Gas Chromatography/Mass spectroscopy

HP 6890 GCMS

gcms

GC-MS is an instrument that separates all the compounds in a sample, and analyzes the compounds one by one by generating a mass spectrum. This mass spectrum is a fingerprint that allows us to identify the compounds. This equipment is used to analyze the by-product of the pyrolysis/gasification technique.

Micro GC

Agilent 490 System

gcms
