The Catalysis for Bitumen Upgrading and Hydrogen Production Research Team was created in September 2003. At this moment it supports a group of 1 postdoc, 9 graduate students, and 5 research associates whose main professional experience and skills are based on Heavy and Extra Heavy Crude Processing. Dr. Pedro Pereira, Professor at the University of Calgary, Department of Chemical & Petroleum Engineering, directs the team.
