The Homeschool Program is a once-a-week, skill-based, coed program for ages 6+yrs that aligns with our Ladder programs.  Gymnasts in this program are provided strong coaching expertise that supports learning gymnastics as a foundation sport.  Children will be challenged in individual skills as well as encouraging teamwork.  Depending on registration, groups may be combined or separated. This will be determined by the coaches at the start of the class. As this program is based on Fun, Fitness and Fundamentals within the sport of gymnastics, your child will get to build their skills regardless of what experience they previously have. Classes are scheduled once a week for an hour and 25 minutes.
This structured program divides participants based on ability into Beginner and Experienced classes. By following a rotational schedule, each participant will train on all the apparatus within the Gymnastics Centre. Participants will collaborate with their coach to help reach their individuals goals. The skills presented during these sessions will be based on the Dominant Movement Patterns of gymnastics including - landings, rotations, springs, statics, and swings.Unsupported inversions will be based upon coach’s individual participant assessment and participant's skills, strengths, and body awareness in compliance with the UCalgary Gymnastics Centre regulations.  PARKING IS NOT INCLUDED WITH ADULT PROGRAMS

The Stargazer program is the bridge from the preschool to the recreation program. The skills in this class follow the Ladder program. These skills and drills are introduced in a creative, fun, age-appropriate way. This class will last one hour and 10 minutes and will occur alongside our recreational classes.   Age exceptions are not available for this class. All registrants must be a minimum of 5 years of age and attending Kindergarten to join.
Register by age only. This program primarily focuses on Artistic Gymnastics including but not limited to: Vault, Uneven Bars, Balance Beam & Floor Exercise. Gymnasts registering in these classes must be at least six years old before the start of the session as the class structure will align with the maturation level of the child. The Shooting Stars program will work primarily within steps 1-8 of the Ladder Program, which covers safety landings on all apparatus in the program, assesses strength, flexibility of the gymnast, and teaches proper body alignment. Focus will be on providing a strong foundation on basic gymnastic skills in a fun and creative way, to which more advanced skills will follow from.  Coaches will determine which step participants are on for all events by assessing the strength, flexibility, skills, and mental readiness of each individual gymnast.
