Meet new friends and have loads of fun this school spring break. In this day camp, we'll snowshoe and cross-country ski in Kananaskis. We'll also visit cool Calgary locations, play tons of outdoor games, and go climbing, bouldering and swimming. If the weather is warm we'll hike and build shelters instead of being on snow. Every day is jam-packed with activities. Grades 2-8 camps available. Required: weather-appropriate clothing and indoor footwear. Do you need to Sign-out later than 5:00pm? No problem, if you register for Spring Break After Care you can Sign-out as late as 5:00pm. Campers will have the opportunity to do a variety of activites including playing games with our staff, colouring, drawing or reading.
Do you need to Sign-in earlier than 8:30am? No problem, if you register for Spring Break Before Care you can Sign-in as early as 8:00am. Campers will have the opportunity to do a variety of activites including playing games with our staff, colouring, drawing or reading.
The UCboulder Club is stoked to be collaborating with the Outdoor Center to help you finish off the Winter Semester with a send.  Come get your climb on and celebrate the re-opening of the bouldering wall with all the amazing people in our climbing community.  With prize giveaways, sponsorship from a local brewery, and new angles/holds/volumes to play on, you will want to make sure you sign up in advance and save your spot.Open to ALL skills and abilities. Training for a successful cross-country ski season starts in the spring. This dryland training series is designed to improve your skiing ABC's: agility, balance and coordination, as well as your ski specific strength and endurance. We'll train for 1.5 hours once a week for 9 weeks. These workouts will be held outdoors in Calgary parks, except during extreme weather when we'll train indoors at the U of C. Non-skiers welcome. Prerequisite: none. Includes: instructor/coach.
Kick off your backpacking season in spring! This June overnight trip is the perfect easy start to your year.Enjoy a leisurely trek to a pretty campground that's snow-free early in the season and a great chance to get out early.A pre-trip lecture covers the logistics of group camping.Prerequisite: moderate physical condition and some previous backpacking experience.Includes: guide, overnight permits/fees, group camping gear*.*We will be sharing 2 and 3-person MSR tents and cooking shared meals on liquid fuel stoves.

Join us for a classic 5-day sea kayaking tour in the Broken Group Islands of Pacific Rim National Park. We'll introduce you to a world of intricate waterways, towering cliffs and white sandy beaches. Explore tidal pools and peaceful lagoons, and discover the diverse marine wildlife of Barkley Sound. The 40 islands and 80 islets provide relatively calm waters for beginners and longer days for those more experienced. We'll camp at several different beaches or set up a base camp to explore the area. Prerequisite: none. Includes: guide, all kayak/group cooking gear, cook shelter, park/camping fees, and a scenic 3-hour return boat ride out of the Alberni Inlet.
