Mountain Biking Expedition: Teen Program

Kananaskis has some of the best mountain bike terrain in the world! Whether you are new to the sport or keen to develop your skills, you will have the time of your life! Through a combination of cross-country and freeride skill development, you will learn about and practice body positioning, gearing, cornering, and maneuvering on trails. Trail selection, bike maintenance, and outdoor skills are also introduced. This expedtion is operated out of a base campsite where riders return each night.

Backpacking Expeditions: Teen Programs

We have two backpacking trips running this summer. 101 is a three day introduction to backpacking and 201 is a five day extended expedition for those who want a challenge! Please look at the individual events for more information and prerequisites.

Wilderness Survivor

Do you think it would be fun to learn how to survive in the wild? Here’s your chance to get outside and learn hands-on in the great outdoors under the watchful eyes of our experienced instructors. Each day we’ll head out to the Kananaskis area to learn how to safely build fires and shelters, be bear safe, and much more. The last two days are spent on a group overnight trip to try out your newly-acquired skills.

Reminder: the last two days of this camp are an overnight outside of the city. Dates and times for the parent meeting are camp specific, please see camp description. Food is not included but menu planning will be discussed at the parent meeting
