Dinos Basketball Camps

The Dinos Basketball Camps are the perfect place to improve your skills, get active and compete against other players around Calgary. Participants will learn basketball fundamentals and techniques, conditioning methods and team-play tactics.

Please note that this program is delivered by Dinos Athletics and registered through UofC Active LIving.

Programming Notes:

A Senior Girls Basketball Camp will take place from July 17-20, 2017 in the Red Gym at the University of Calgary (S17YDBG201).  It will be open for Girls from Grade 9-12, and there will be 50 spots available!  The cost of this camp will be $200 and will run from 6pm-9pm from Monday to Thursday.  Registration for this camp will be open on May 1, 2017.

A Boys and Girls Shooting Camp will take place on July 22 and 23, 2017 in the Jack Simpson Gym at the University of Calgary (S17YDBS100).  It will be open for Boys and Girls from Grade 6 to Grade 12 and will cost $125.  The camp will run from 9am-4pm on Saturday and Sunday.  Registration for this camp will be open on May 1, 2017.

Summer Basketball

Intramural basketball offers competitive tiered leagues to allow you to select the type of copetition you want. Teams will be scheduled for 6 regular season games. All leagues will have standings, CBOA officials and playoffs. Play as a team or with other individuals.  Register in both leagues and recieve a discount on the second one. To have the discount applied, you will have to register over the phone at 403.220.7749.

A Division – Players would have intermediate to advanced skills and a firm knowledge of the rules. They would have played competitively in high school or with city leagues. Usually Division A to D in senior men’s league.

B Division – Players would have basic to intermediate skills and knowledge of the rules. They would have played in Jr. or Sr. high school or within city leagues. Usually Division E or lower in senior men’s league.

All division descriptions are a base guideline.

Mixed Competitive Basketball

Intramural men’s basketball offers competitive tiered leagues to allow you to select the type of competition you want. Teams will be scheduled for 8 regular season games. All leagues have standings, officials and playoffs. Play as a team or with other individuals.

A Division – Players would have intermediate to advanced skills and a firm knowledge of the rules. They would have played competitively in high school or with city leagues. Usually Division A to C in senior men’s league.

B Division – Players would have intermediate skills and knowledge of the rules. They would have played in high school or with city leagues. Usually Division D or lower in senior men’s league.
