Weekend Full Bike Repair Course (A, B, C & D)

Using your own bike, (mountain or road) practice and learn the principles of bike repair from a professional mechanic. You'll be led hands-on through a comprehensive tune-up/overhaul—leaving no component untouched (fork and shock internals exempt). The content includes modules A, B, C and D which will give you the knowledge to improve the performance and longevity of every component on your bike. 14+. Prerequisite: none. Evening Full Bike Repair Course

Earn your stripes as a bike mechanic over 4 weeks*. Evening courses start at the beginning of each month and we will cover all content from modules A, B, C and D. Prerequisites: none. Bike Maintenance Essentials (A)

Savvy cyclists are self-sufficient and don’t shy away from roadside repairs and maintenance. Bring your favourite bike to our fully-equipped shop and practice flat tires, chain repair, and routine cleaning and lubing in this 3-hour evening course. A little DIY troubleshooting keeps your bike generating smiles for miles. No experience necessary. 14+. Prerequisite: none. Shifting and Braking Systems (B)

In this 3-hour bike repair course, get your shifting and braking systems working better-than-new by learning how to change cables/casing, accurately adjust derailleurs, and troubleshoot disc and rim brake systems. You'll be able to save your future tune-up dollars for coffee (or more bike parts). 14+. Prerequisite: none. Hubs, Bottom Brackets and Headsets (C)

Dry bearings and contaminated grease can damage parts on your bike and slow you down. In this 3-hour repair course, learn how to inspect, adjust and repack or replace bearings before the damage is done. 14+. Prerequisite: none. Hydraulic Brake Bleeding (D)

Inconsistent hydraulic disc brakes? Learn the principles and processes of a brake bleed, allowing you to remove air from hydraulic systems on modern disc brakes. This 3-hour evening course lets you practice on a variety of components if your personal bike is already dialed. 14+. Prerequisite: modules A & B or equivalent. Wheel Building

The balanced tension of a spoked bicycle wheel is a beautiful thing, especially when you've laced and tensioned it yourself. In this 3-hour course, you'll use a mix of measurement, formula, technology and good old-fashioned feel to build a strong, serviceable practice wheel. Prerequisite: ABCD course certificate or equivalent. Includes: instructor, use of shop tools, in-house practice components (hub, spokes, rim), course notes.

Ski/Board Tuning Clinic

Learn to do a skilled tune-up of your skis or snowboard; including cleaning and base repair, edge sharpening and waxing. Receive personalized instruction and lots of practice in this 3-hour hands-on clinic. Please make sure the snowboard, pair of downhill, alpine touring or telemark skis that you bring to the clinic are clean and in decent condition. Maximum 6 students/class. Prerequisite: none. Basic Bike Repair (A & B)

Dive in for a full day and learn the essentials of a basic bike tune-up, including chain and tube repair, gear and brake adjustments, and lubrication for maximum performance.
