If you're ready for the next step this is the perfect course to help you gain the experience needed to achieve success with your fly fishing.
This high impact, hardcore, Advanced Fly Fishing Coarse will be offered right in the heart of the Bow River Valley at McKinnon Flats. This area was chosen as its right in the middle of the world's best Blue Ribbon, the Bow River.
This full day coarse is taught by our Instructor who has 30 years of Fly Fishing experience and has been guiding for over 20 years. His passion and excitement for Fly Fishing is infectious. On completion of this course, you will achieve the ability to Fly Fish throughout Alberta - and anywhere in the world - with confidence and success.

Get into Fly Fishing - Teens

Southern Alberta is world renowned for fly-fishing. This course introduces you to the basics of the sport, including casting techniques, proper fly selection, knot tying, reading water, and fish habitat. This day camp will take you to different locations in and out of the city limits every day.
Includes: hip waders and PFDs (if you have your own please bring it)

Thrill of the Catch - Fishing

Go out on a reel adventure and discover the thrill of fishing! In this introductory week-long camp, we’ll travel to lakes and ponds around the city or in Kananaskis Country to learn basic fishing techniques. Location selections will be based on weather and the Fish Stocking Report. We will spend one day at the Bow Habitat Fish Hatchery learning about Alberta’s fish population and conservation!

Fly Fishing Intro

Whether you're new to fishing, or have experience spin casting, this day trip will give you a chance to try out the art of fly fishing at a beautiful mountain destination. You will learn the basics—like setting up the rod, to finding the best spots to fish. Then you’ll learn how to cast under the watchful eye of our experienced guide. Prerequisite: valid Alberta Sportfishing License. Includes: guide/instructor, fishing gear.
