I am an Assistant Professor in the Department of Linguistics at the University of Calgary. My teaching specializations are syntax and language acquisition. My research deals with the architecture of the grammar -- how syntax, morphology, and semantics are connected.

My recent work includes research into the syntactic and semantic properties of idioms; interactions between syntactic movement and binding; syntactic and semantic properties of "applied" arguments; and the implications of unattested person and number systems for a theory of morphosyntactic features.
