Women Guiding Women Mentorship

Since January 2007, the Women Guiding Women (WGW) Mentorship and Leadership Training Program has been offering a semester-long program in four cycles to women from various fields of study and work.

As a protégé you’ll be able to define your career goals, grow in self-confidence, and develop lasting relationships with mentors.

As a mentor, you’ll be able to develop your leadership skills and will have numerous professional development and networking opportunities.

Goals of Women Guiding Women

  • To create positive mentoring relationships between University of Calgary women students and women from the Calgary community
  • To provide participants women-specific, collaborative leadership skills that will help them to better understand their own career goals, increase their self-esteem and leadership potential, and empower them to make authentic life decisions;
  • To develop women's networking circles comprised of successful women in the workforce as well as female students from a range of disciplines.
