Central printing services makes changes, including new vendor

Do you ever go to print and think to yourself “This_______ (fill in the blank: multi-copy print/ postcard/ wide-format print/ business card/ exam/ etc.) would be so much easier if only there was someone on campus who could print it for me”?

Good news. Central printing services are available on campus, so all those complex printing projects can be sent to a team close by. Effective Jan. 1, a new vendor is now providing these services.

Our central print shop provides printing services, such as business cards, binding and lamination, exam printing and scanning and much more.

West Canadian Digital Imaging is providing full print service delivery effective Jan. 1. Find out more information about the change on the IT website.

Print services at the touch of a button

You can make an order quickly and easily through the new print shop website at ucalgary.ca/printshop. Simply click on the links for student, or faculty and staff printing to begin. The pricing and ordering process is primarily the same as with the prior vendor — you can use the existing order forms, now located on the new site, and email a copy to printshop@ucalgary.ca, or simply use the website to submit information online.

If you’d prefer to visit West Canadian in person, they are temporarily located in Education Classroom Block (EDC) room 170. In the near future, West Canadian will move to the previous central print storefront in the Education Tower basement (EDT 03).

Creative services are also changing

Creative services offered on campus have also changed. University Relations will now provide creative services to faculty and staff. To make a request, email urcreative@ucalgary.ca or visit ucalgary.ca/universityrelations/marketing/creative-solutions for more details.
