The participation of nitrogen / oxygen-derived reactive activated species in the initiation and support of many pathological conditions (such as hypertension, diabetes, neuro-degenerative diseases and several inflammatory processes) is well characterized and is currently being considered a potential focus of pharmacological intervention for effective treatment of these diseases. |
