Inquiry Based Learning: Community of Practice Meeting

Inquiry-based learning is a teaching approach that is typically characterized by learner-centered and student driven design, where students are actively involved in shaping and enacting the learning process.  Inquiry-based learning is highly collaborative, and often involves the instructor taking a role as a facilitator rather than a “teacher.”

The Taylor Institute for Teaching and Learning is hosting a community of practice for teaching colleagues at the University of Calgary to explore the idea of inquiry-based learning more deeply.  This group will provide a venue for sharing ideas, engaging in collaborative problem solving, and sharing resources with respect to a broad range of inquiry-based learning approaches and strategies.

The Inquiry-based Learning Community of Practice Meetings will take place on the following dates. Registration is not required. Please come to any of the dates and times below and join our community!
