One of a Kind

The Interdisciplinary Master's Degree in Sustainable Energy Development is the only Program of its kind in North America offering an integrated, comprehensive education relating to sustainable energy development in the broadest sense. This Program is designed to provide a technical background  while giving a balanced education with instruction in the areas of law, business, engineering and environmental design.

This Program is for high potential professionals from any discipline who have demonstrated the ability to produce results, communicate effectively and have an interest in sustainable development.

One Degree, Two Locations

Graduates of the Program will receive an interdisciplinary degree, a Master of Science (MSc) in Sustainable Energy Development from the Faculty of Graduate Studies, of the University of Calgary.

The University of Calgary offers the Program in two locations:

Students may choose at which location they would like to study. Each offers a unique education experience. While the programs are similar in content and curriculum the Calgary offering is structured in the traditional four-month semester format. The Quito offering is in concentrated blocks that last for three weeks per course. In addition, the program in Calgary has an international focus, while the program in Quito has a Latin American orientation. Both programs are delivered in English.
