The Recruitment and Admissions Office promotes the University of Calgary in Calgary, across Canada and internationally. We are typically the first point of contact for prospective students and families who are exploring post-secondary options in general and interested in attending an undergraduate program at the University of Calgary in particular.
We reach out to prospective students, providing information about the University of Calgary in schools, at community events, at education fairs and here on campus. We help high school and college students understand what it's like to be a member of our student community and encourage them to see how their academic goals can be achieved here in the wide variety of programs available.
We offer centralized undergraduate application and admission services for domestic and international applicants to the academic programs offered by 12 Faculties. We evaluate domestic and foreign credentials for admission and transfer credit, and facilitate requests for transfer credit agreements from other Alberta post-secondary institutions. We process close to 15,000 applications per year, resulting in an incoming class of some 5,500 students each September.
