The mission of the Regeneration Unit in Neurobiology (RUN) is to provide users with a state-of-the-art microscopy and rodent behavioural analysis facility that also serves as an important venue for multidisciplinary training and collaborative interactions.
The RUN facility infrastructure consists of two arms; a state-of-the-art microscopy facility and an advanced rodent behavioural testing facility. The imaging facility includes multiphoton live imaging, spectral confocal imaging, laser capture microdissection, high-resolution slide scanning, in vivo confocal endomicroscopy imaging, and high-content screening capabilities, while the behavioural testing facility includes advanced gait analysis, comprehensive sensorimotor testing, and assays of cognition and emotionality. RUN is dedicated to research and education, and offers scientific consultation, personalized training, and education for students and faculty on cutting-edge analytical techniques and emerging experimental approaches.
Where are we?
RUN is located on the 1st floor of the Heritage Medical Research Building at the University of Calgary and is open to all University of Calgary and HBI members.
