Undergraduate Summer Studentship Award: Institute of Musculoskeletal Health and Arthritis:

IMHA's mission reflects that of CIHR's - to excel, according to internationally accepted standards of scientific excellence, in the creation of new knowledge in all areas relevant to arthritis, musculoskeletal (MSK) rehabilitation, bone, muscle, skin and oral health, and to translate that new knowledge into improved health for Canadians, more effective health services and products, and a strengthened Canadian health care system.

Anticipated launch date: November 24, 2016

Deadline: January 17, 2017

Who can apply: Students enrolled in an undergraduate defree or health professional program at a Canadian University at the time of application.

Objective: To target the early stage of the student’s academic training to increase research capacity and encourage the pursuit of the specific areas of strategic interest identified by each participating Institute

Summer Studentship Health research award for Undergraduate Students in Computational Biology

Anticipated launch date: November 24, 2016

Deadline: January 17, 2017

Who can apply: Undergraduate students in Life Science, Mathematics and Computer Science with a research focus on Computational Biology

Objective: To provide undergraduate students in the life sciences, mathematics and computer sciences with an opportunity to undertake computational biology health-related research projects with established researchers in an environment that provides strong mentorship.


Travel Award- Science Program in Taiwan

Anticipated launch date: December 2016

Who can apply: Graduate students (master’s or doctoral level) in Health research

Objective: To provide Canadian graduate students (master’s or doctoral level) with first-hand research experience in an international setting, while also affording an orientation to Taiwan's culture and language.
