Rob Cardinal researches small bodies in our solar system. He will be discussing the latest research and missions to track and explore these near earth objects. He will also share what can we do if they get too close to earth!
In the sky – Jupiter will be visible once the sun goes down and later in the evening Mars and Saturn will be rising in the east.
Visitors will have the opportunity to look through the RAO’s array of telescopes (weather permitting), with astronomers from the University of Calgary and members of the Royal Astronomical Society on hand to answer questions.
The entrance fee is $20 per car OR $10 per person. All proceeds go towards RAO educational programs.
