The University of Calgary and the Latin American Energy Organization (OLADE) offer a graduate program leading to a Master of Science (Sustainable Energy Development) degree in Quito, Ecuador. Students enter the program with a broad range of educational and experience backgrounds many from energy and environment organizations, including government agencies. The objective of this program is to equip students with a background in energy/environmental management such that they will be able to work to ensure sustainable energy development and will be able to work to minimize the impact of development on the environment. This program brings together students, primarily from the Latin America and Caribbean region, who work in multi-cultural, multi-disciplinary learning environments. While the students are completing their degree program, they will also have the opportunity to work on special projects for their or other agencies or organizations to further implement and develop their skills.

In addition to the Master of Science (Sustainable Energy Development) degree program offered in Ecuador, Graduate Certificate programs are offered in the Latin America and Caribbean region in conjunction with OLADE and various host institutions. For more information, contact the Calgary OLADE Project Office using the listings above.

Instruction offered by members of the Faculties of Engineering, Environmental Design, Law and the Haskayne School of Business.
