UToday HomeDecember 6, 2012

The Women’s Resource Centre, in collaboration with the Werklund Foundation Centre for Youth Leadership Education, will present a benefit production of The Vagina Monologues by Eve Ensler Feb. 13 and 14, 2013.

The Vagina Monologues is part of the V-Day Campaign — a global activist movement to stop violence against women and girls. Proceeds from ticket sales will benefit the Discovery House, a local agency devoted to the safety and well-being of women and children leaving domestic violence.

Auditions will take place on Monday, Dec. 10 and Wednesday, Dec. 12. Eligible performers must be affiliated with the University of Calgary and lead their lives as women. No previous acting experience is required, and diversity is valued.
