“We are delighted to be working with Jeramy Dodds, Canadian Writer-in-Residence with the Faculty of Arts on this project,” says Donna Livingstone, director of communications with Libraries and Cultural Resources. “The poems are terrific and show an exciting range of topics and styles. It’s wonderful to see people pausing to enjoy a poem as they wait for the elevator.”

The poetry includes works by derek beaulieu, Rachel Zolf, Christian Bok, Keith Worthington, Martin Schauss and Mike Khmelnitsky.

Also on view are poems featured in the Poem of the Season project, jointly organized by the Creative Writing Research Group, English department and Libraries and Cultural Resources (LCR). This project, now in its ninth edition, is designed to inject a bit of poetry into campus life and to support the creative efforts of students.

The Poem of the Season site also provides useful poetry writing tips, and links to poetry writing groups, and events, blogs, and festivals.

LCR is also home to a special collection celebrating poetry from the mid-nineteenth century to the present. The Marvin Orbach Collection of Contemporary Canadian Poetry comprises over 4,000 volumes, including rare, first or limited edition.
