Campus-wide cleanup and barbecue April 18

Photo courtesy Office of SustainabilityThe University of Calgary community and general public are invited to the 4th annual Campus Cleanup and Barbecue. Join with others to collect trash and recyclables on campus as part of the university’s Earth Month activities, and make the University of Calgary campus a better place to learn, work, live and play.

The Campus Cleanup and Barbecue will be held on Thursday, April 18, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the TFDL Quad (Rainout date is April 23).

The day will begin with an orientation, where bags and gloves will be provided. After the cleanup, participants can celebrate with the barbecue and beverages.

Participants will be entered to win door prizes and an extra ballot will be awarded to those who pre-register. Prizes will also be awarded for most garbage collected, most recyclables collected, and more.
