It is the only celebration event sanctioned by the university and it is exclusive to University of Calgary students who have obtained a wristband from the Students’ Union.

This year’s event will take place from noon to 5 p.m. in parking lot 32 on the southeast corner of campus and includes a beer garden and live music performances. In addition, several changes to parking, road and building access, and Calgary Transit will take place that may affect faculty and staff.

Parking

Parking lot 32 will be closed all day and all vehicles parked in the lot must be removed by 7 a.m. on April 16 or they will be towed. Alternate parking lots to use include the Arts Parkade ($8 per entry) or parking lots 10 and 11 ($6 per entry).

Road Closures

On Tuesday, Campus Drive will be closed from 10:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. between Campus Place and Campus Gate. Access to lots 19, 21, 25 and 28 will only be available from 32nd Avenue. Access to lots 31, 33 and 34 can be made from 24th Avenue all day.

Building Closures

Scurfield Hall will be closed on event day with only those attending classes or business in the building allowed entry, and MacEwan Student Centre will be closed from 4 to 6 p.m.

Calgary Transit

Bus route #20 will be rerouted for the day, with a detour to be determined by Calgary Transit. Call 403-262-1000 or visit www.calgarytransit.com for more information.
