Scholarship memorializes teen

A year after their travel-loving son died in a car accident, Fraser Noseworthy’s parents say they are comforted by a scholarship fund they’ve set up to memorialize the things that were important to him.

The 19-year-old was only three weeks into his Bachelor of Health Sciences program at the University of Calgary when he was killed Sept. 26, 2005, after his car crashed in the city’s southwest. His parents, Dr. Tom Noseworthy and Dr. Avril Fitzgerald, are U of C faculty members.

The Fraser Noseworthy Memorial International Scholarship will fund two students a year with scholarships of up to $3,000 each.
