Some history...The Centre for Digestive Motility (CDM) was created in 2007 with the initial support of the Gastroparesis and Dysmotilities Association. The CDM was created in response to the lack of access to factual information and co-ordinated treatment in Canada for digestive motility conditions, with a particular focus on upper gut dysmotilty such as gastroparesis.
The need for co-ordinated, evidence based evaluation, diagnosis and treatment for gut motility conditions has grown substantially since CDM was created. In response, CDM was transferred to the South Health Campus in Calgary in 2012 and combined with a significant infusion of capital and trained personnel from Alberta Health Services to become the Calgary Gut Motility Centre (CGMC).
Regular staff of the the Centre are listed on the left.
