My main area of research is hospital epidemiology, specifically, ecology of nosocomial gram-negative bacilli in patients receiving third generation cephalosporins. I also have research interests in evolution of control policies regarding multi-antibiotic resistant organisms and community infection control needs and processes.
I am involved in clinical trials with the focus around the evolution of new antimicrobial agents and biologic response modifiers in seriously ill patients with infections, as well as selected aspects of clinical infectious diseases and clinical microbiology as it applies to antimicrobial utilization Home IV and diagnostic tests.
