Resources for Learners

The Equity and Professionalism office is moving towards focusing on promoting professionalism through celebration and awareness, education, scholarship, and a consultation group to provide feedback on complex professionalism matters.

Learner Concerns

Learners who have concerns about breaches of the Professional Standards or other relevant University of Calgary policies should, as soon as is reasonably possible, bring them to the attention of the most appropriate of the following:

1. The Student Professionalism committee (see algorithm below), and/or email

2.. Equity and Professionalism consultation group, (403) 210-6424 ,

3. Academic mentor, faculty advisor or course/clerkship chair 

4. UME Student Affairs Office (403) 220-4262 ; Faculty advisor; director (Student Affairs; or the Associate Dean Student Affairs)
