1. How can I find out about Markin-Flanagan news and events?

There are several ways to get up-to-date Markin-Flanagan news and events information: visit our website at www.markinflanagan.com; contact Janice Lee at 403.220.8177 or leej@ucalgary.ca to get on the mail list or email list; and/or join our the Markin-Flanagan Distinguished Writers Program on Facebook.

2. Are all Markin-Flanagan events free ?

In the generous spirit the Program promotes, all Markin-Flanagan events are free and open to the public.

3. How do I make a manuscript consultation with the Canadian Writer-in-Residence?

The Markin-Flanagan Distinguished Writers Program offers Alberta writers a unique opportunity to meet with experienced Canadian and international writers on an individual basis to discuss their writing. These consultations are free and open to all writers in the Alberta writing community. Marcello Di Cintio, the 2009 -2010 Markin-Flanagan Canadian Writer-in-Residence, will begin booking appointments for manuscript consultations in late August. To book a manuscript consultation, contact Janice Lee at 403.220.8177 or leej@ucalgary.ca .

4. How do I apply for the Canadian Writer-in-Residence position? 

The Markin-Flanagan Distinguished Writers Program is currently accepting applications from emerging Canadian writers for a ten-month residency at the University of Calgary from August 15, 2011 to June 15, 2012. >>more
