The Eugène Strens Recreational Mathematics Collection
The Eugène Strens Recreational Mathematics Collection was acquired through the dedication and generosity of Professor Richard and Mrs. Louise Guy, the estate of Eugène Strens and other individuals who established the original collection of books, periodicals, and puzzles in Special Collections. The collection continues to grow through donations of funds, individual items or personal libraries of Charles W. Trigg, Wade Philpott, Martin Gardner, William Schaaf and Leon Bankoff.
Within the book and periodical collections there are also mathematics archives containing the archival fonds of Charles W. Trigg, Wade Philpott, Alan R. Ness, Harry L. Nelson, Victor Meally, Martin Gardner, C.M. Jones and Leon Bankoff.
The books in the Eugène Strens Recreational Mathematics Collection are catalogued and indexed in an InMagic (R) database in Special Collections. The bibliographic data is also accessible on the MathSci database in the SRM (The Eugène Strens Recreational Mathematical Collection) subfile.
In addition, there is a Web version of the database at:
