Student Quick Start Guide

The following sections are a quick start guide to various accounts for students at the University of Calgary. For a comprehensive guide to all IT services and support for students, please refer to Student Computer Support.

IT Account

An IT Account will give you access to various services such as email, Webdisk, AirUC Secure, Blackboard, IT Computer Labs, and Anti-virus software.

• Register online (You must be registered for at least one full-time course)

eID and My UofC Portal

eID is used to sign-on to the My UofC Portal. My UofC Portal is a one-stop access for various online services at the UofC. Some of these services include: Student Centre, Blackboard, Webmail, Degree Navigator, Contacts and Advisors, and Campus Recreation.

Changing Your eID to a Student Role

If you need to change your eID from a General to a Student Role, please follow these instructions.

Student Centre

University of Calgary students use the Student Centre to enroll in classes (add, drop, swap, edit), view and pay fees, view grades, view class schedule and final exam schedule, request transcripts, and apply to graduate.
