The following sections are a quick start guide to various accounts and access for employees at the University of Calgary.
Online self registration is required to obatin an IT Account. Your IT Account will give you access to various online services, such as the university's Integrated Calendar and Email (Outlook) service, Webdisk, AirUC, and Blackboard. Once assigned an UCID number, new employees should wait 24 hrs prior to using the Online Registration link. The Manual Request Form is only to be used if the new employee does not have access to a computer and/or internet connection.
For more information regarding your IT Account, visit IT Account FAQs.
Your eID is used to sign-on to the myUofC portal. The myUofC portal is your one-stop access for various online services at the university. Some of these services include: Enterprise Systems, Employment Records, and Campus Services
In order to login to the computer in your office, or any computer that exists on the UC_ADMIN domain, your IT Username must be given additional privileges. UC_ADMIN access is automatically granted when your IT Account is registered online. If you used the IT Account Manual Request Form, you will also need to request UC_ADMIN access by clicking the link below. Once access has been granted, you can then map to the necessary network drives.
If you need to have your UC_ADMIN access unlocked, or need a password reset, please call the IT Support Centre at 220-5555.
