IT provides email addresses and mailboxes for the benefit of all members of the University of Calgary community. Staff members who require access to calendars for the purpose of booking rooms and scheduling meetings cannot use this standard email service and will instead use the Integrated Calendar & Email service.
Many students and staff will already have an email address known to friends, relatives and associates. However there are advantages to using the UofC email address for your on-campus activities. These are described in detail in the article About the UofC Email Service.
Before you can start using your UofC email, you need to register for the free IT computing account.

Incoming Mail Server*: imap.ucalgary.ca Port: 993
Security connection setting: SSL
Outgoing Mail Server*: smtp.ucalgary.ca Port:465
Security connection setting: SSL
*Please note that authentication must be enabled for both incoming and outgoing mail.
