The Integrated Sensors and Intellegent Systems lab (ISIS) vision is to "Create new views of our world that advance knowledge and well-being". To fulfil this important Vision the ISIS labs mission is to:
To achieve this ambitious mission the ISIS lab has brought together world class experts in low-power design, image / sensor design, VLSI, systems integration and information processing The ISIS lab will build on Albertas existing imaging and microsystems research and infrastructure investments to establish end-to-end image and sensor design and integration capability.
The Integrated Sensors, Intellegent Systems Laboratory (ISIS Lab) was founded by Dr. Orly Yadid-Pecht, iCORE Professor and Fellow of the IEEE. See Dr. Yadid-Pecht's biography.
The research activities of the lab aim and focus on developing innovative design techniques and approaches to VLSI, CMOS Imaging, Active Pixel Sensors, Smart Sensors, Neural Nets, Image Processing and Microsystems. The technology is now finding applications in fields including space, defence, security, biomedicine and the automotive sector.
Postdoctoral Opportunities in Systems research available, Post-doc Fellowships in VLSI systems, Post-doctoral fellows (PDFs) looking for interesting state-of-the-art research in Biomedical Systems are encouraged to apply! Post-doctoral research associates in VLSI digital design, mixed analog-digital design, system integration and in-vitro experiments are strongly sought.
