We had the opportunity to show our appreciation to a group of community members who act as field instructors for our students as they practice their practicum in the community they live in. Their commitment to providing BSW & MSW field supervision is vital to the professional education of our students and supports the future of the social work profession. Thanks again!

Organized by the Faculty of Social Work Southern Alberta Region, University of Calgary, this Research Symposium provides a forum for Faculty members, students and community members to present research that promotes change and enhances social justice efforts. The day features oral and poster presentations that showcase the latest research and findings by faculty members, students and community members.

An Introduction to Family Social Work (Cengage Learning) by Collins, Jordan, and Coleman is now in its fourth edition. The latest edition is scheduled to be released in the spring of 2012. The book has become an international best seller and has been translated into a number of languages. This picture shows the Chinese version of An Introduction to Family Social Work (2nd edition) by Hsi-sheng Wei from NTPU, Taipei, Taiwan.
The book provides an in-depth look at generalist family social work and primarily targets undergraduate social workers.
